This was from last Saturday at the Circuit One event at Thompson Speedway. This car was a 2010 Nissan GT-R tweaked up to 600hp, and was absolutely sick. Acceleration was ohmygodthisthingisfast and the brakes will suck out yer eyeballs (mentioned in the video). It felt faster than the awd Gallardo I drove 20 minutes previously.

Next you need to drive an Underground Racing twin turbo Gallardo on track!

That sounds like it would be absolutely terrifying. Where do I sign up?

I don't know!

But I have seen them for sale for under $300K if you are ever in the market to purchase a 1200 HP beast!

Hmmm. For that kind of dough I'd probably buy an airplane. I have a tough time justifying huge $$ for a car, even if it is horrifically fast.

whoa what kind of plane can you get for that money?

You can buy pretty much anything used for that $$ - Cirrus, Piper etc. Just depends on how old an airplane you want; there are always trade-offs. If you're going with a new plane you're limited to the slower stuff from Cessna/Piper/Diamond. If you build your own (or buy a kit already built & flying) you can get some fast airplanes for that dough.

I have never looked into planes. Mind is now blown! I thought they were a lot more than that.

They are if you buy new. A new Cirrus SR22 spans $500-750k. Then move up to piston twins like a Beech Baron ($1.2M) then single turboprops like the Piper Meridian (2.2M) then twin turboprops then jets... Which makes buying used very attractive, but you still have to maintain it which ain't cheap either.

Very cool to get a million dollar plane used for a fraction of the cost, even if it is expensive to maintain!
